A shortage of clean water is one of the most serious challenges facing the world this millennium, according to the United Nations. Here’s what you can do to help:

- Fit toilets with water savers – or put a brick in the cistern.
Dominica ecolodge holiday We use low flow taps, rocks in the toilets for displacement, and grey water passes through a trap in the plug hole, a grease trap outside and then a soakaway. - Fit low flush toilets and use low flow taps and low pressure showers.
Dordogne self catering accommodation Visitors to the cabin are given written info on saving water and using the shower which only holds 5 litres at a time. - Filter grey water and reuse for water plants.

Grenada hotel luxury accommodation The collection of rain water, from our roof, is filtered via German technology into a 40,000 gallon holding tank. - Ask guests to reuse towels and sheets more than once.
