Tour operators play a very important role in this programme as they have a great deal of marketing expertise. Tour operators generate regular business which is vital for communities who do not have the financial resources to survive a quiet period.

responsibletravel.com already works with over 270 established tour companies and is introducing relevant community based tourism projects to these tour operators on a one by one basis to give them the chance to market community based tourism ventures as part of their tour programmes.
