The canopy is teeming with birdlife and the itineraries, tailored to suit your needs, range from short hikes to treks and visits to the Achuar Indian communities. Price includes all meals and English-speaking guide.

Experience incredible wildlife, explore mountain villages and markets and enjoy the tranquility of the Amazon rainforest. Stay in small locally run hotels and lodges throughout the trip and eat in local restaurants. Price also available excluding flights.

You’ll then visit Rio de Janeiro staying in a boutique hotel with fantastic views and exploring the hidden corners of the city with Vitor (a Rio local) who will help you get to know and understand the city from a local’s point of view.. You’ll round of the trip with a stay at a boutique pousada on the Costa Verde near the unique town of Parati (a UNESCO world heritage site). Price includes domestic flights, as per itinerary.
VOLUNTEERING IN THE AMAZON
Amazon rainforest conservation project
- from £1090 (13 days)
Increasing economic development is putting a strain on the natural resources of the Peruvian Amazon. This volunteer expedition will take you to a remote biodiversity hotspot of the rainforest. As part of a small international team, you will experience living and working in the jungle together with local biologists on an important wildlife survey concentrating on four icons of the Amazon: jaguars, pumas, parrots and peccaries.
