Oasis Overland
We have recently spent a week taking the children from the Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Home in Harare, Zimbabwe out on a series of day trips. Julie and Nev, two of our Africa crew used one of our overland trucks to take all the children and staff out to the Kuimba Shiri Bird Park.

On Track Safaris
Late last year one of our study animals ‘Warrior’ was shot and killed by international hunters. I must emphasise that although grossly abhorrent, this was carried out legally under CITES licence. However, we used this unscrupulous act to lobby provincial authorities and by using moral pressure and hard evidence, we persuaded them to ban leopard hunting in the greater Lydenburg area and to reduce the number of CITES hunting permits in the Mpumalanga province by half.

Dar 91 Essaouira
We donate 10% of our profits to local good causes, and through this we are, amongst other things, sponsoring two Moroccan children through school. Nohra is ten, and lives on our street in Essaouira. The family live in two rooms in a shared building, so it's hard for Nohra to concentrate on school work. We intervened and are now helping in various ways.

Exodus

Exodus has entered into a partnership with Friends of Conservation to support and run several projects worldwide. For the past few years this has included our own Responsible Tourism projects in the Himalayan region. We have now divided our projects in to two categories – The Himalayan Social and Education Fund, which includes the Nava Kiran Orphanage, Thulopatel School, Kalika School, Markha Valley housing project, children’s educational sponsorship and various other social projects.
