We ask our clients that they not remove or redistribute anything from the numerous National parks that we travel through on this tour. The spreading of disease and the removal of artefacts can result in prosecution and we strongly encourage our clients to view but not disturb the native Flora and Fauna while on tour.
Community
We take pride in supporting and upholding the rich ‘Gold Rush’ history displayed at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. This award winning attraction is a focus of our 3rd night and 4th day of touring. It is a re-created gold mining village that depicts the township of Ballarat at the end of the “Gold Rush’ in 1854. We greatly appreciate the effort that has been made to bring this part of history to life through realistic construction of the site, underground guided tours, gold panning and pouring and many traditional working shops. Sovereign Hill employs may full and pert-time staff from the local community in all facets of its business. We use the facility for our accommodation and meals as well as touring the village to interact with the working businesses and 'in character' staff. The 'Blood on the Southern Cross' sound and light show that we see on the 3rd night is an absolute highlight of the 4 days. This production uses light and sound and to tell the story of the ‘Eureka Rebellion’ and has a very low environmental impact
