Responsible tourism: Motorbiking holiday in Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Trail
We actively engage in environmentally responsible practices to minimize tourist impact upon the environment and the local habitat. We take biodegradable cleaning products on trips to remote areas. We mainly communicates with customers, partners via email. In stead of using printed brochures, itinerary, ATA send e-brochures, e- itineraries to customers. Our trip is designed in a way that limits the physical impact on the destination our clients visit, so that they may be enjoyed by many generations to come. We always keep our riding groups size small; we minimize pollution, noise, congestion and wastage on the way and at each resting place. Protecting and conserving natural resources, benefiting local communities both socially and economically.
We hold-back on paper usage wherever possible – for example postal bookings, printing of invoices and tickets, postal communications and most importantly luxuriously colorful brochures. We are committed to conserving plants, animals, ecosystems and protected areas (biodiversity), historical site on the tour. We also tell our riders protect the environment by conserve landscapes, cultural and natural heritage site, respecting the integrity of local cultures and avoiding negative effects on social structures.
We aim to create adventure motorcycle tours that have the minimal negative impact and provide the maximum positive benefit to the places we visit. We always work with our customers to ensure that our presence contributes directly to local communities. We believe that a successful trip is only unique if the service we provide is unsurpassable and is beneficial both for our clients and for the local community that the tours go through. Tourism is a significant factor for the regions in which our adventures take place – being an important source of income for local communities. We visit local development and community projects specific to the region, encouraging our clients to donate or assist such projects in appropriate and sustainable manners. We stay at locally owned accommodation, use locally grown and cooked food, supporting restaurants on our route while at the same time providing guests with the freshest, most authentic tastes of the region. We employ and train local guides, drivers and assistants when possible on all trips to ensure that the local community benefits not only short term but with increased employment opportunities for the future.
