Responsible tourism: Peru luxury holiday

At Lead Adventures we work closely with local people with the commitment of protecting our stunning and unparalleled natural environment. Our previous experience of environment conservation, through the Ecuadorian programmes we offer, equips us with both the expertise and trustworthiness to keep our promise; we will do everything we can to minimise the impact of our Peruvian programmes on the environment.
Every trip was designed with the aid of an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessments) expert, each excursion tailored to a policy of ¨zero environmental impact´.
We only hire excellently trained, environmentally responsible guides, to ensure an exceptional example is set for participants.
Furthermore, we exemplify environmental awareness even in our offices, adopting the practice of a ´Green Office´. This is our unified effort to reduce the amount of paper and energy we use, and to cut the amount of waste generated by us as a business.

With us, you are a responsible traveller; part of the cost of each of our programmes will go directly to developing and sustaining local Peruvian communities. Furthermore, through our programmes, you have a chance to meet these communities, learn how they live, and subsequently better understand the problems they face.

Many of our programmes directly involve and benefit local community members. From football training with local youths, to English teaching with indigenous children, to building homes for poverty stricken families, we always have the needs of the community at our core.

We generate jobs by hiring local guides, host families and porters, and offer assistance with their progress in the tourism industry. We try to give most of our revenue back to communitity-oriented projects such as family run hostels, rather than large multinational tourism corporations.

When we do not provide food services for our participants, we enthusiastically encourage them to dine at local restaurants. There is a great number of hotspots offering wide varieties of authentic dishes at affordable prices; travellers can experience an exciting new cuisine and simultaneously give money back to local businesses. We offer highly informative sessions before all participants begin their programmes, detailing the needs and problems of local areas. There is supplemental material provided on our website, and pamphlets are regularly distributed, giving the traveler useful information about their impact on the environment, and what they can do to reduce it.
