When travelling to popular tourist destinations such as Tuscany it's easy to forget the impact we can have on the local people, their towns and villages. On this trip we aim to support the local economy by eating all our evening meals at local trattorias - they of course use locally produced vegetables in their traditional dishes (so helping the region's farmers) and the trattorias are all family owned (unlike many of the larger hotels). By hiring our transport from a neighbouring garage, rather than a large rental company, and employing a local man to drive our support vehicle we inject money directly into the local economy. We are even conscious about where we buy our breakfast and lunch supplies, which come from local shops rather than national supermarkets.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
