Responsible tourism: Everest base camp trek in Nepal
Environment has always been our major concern. We try our best to implement the policy of environmental conservation on every service and tour. Our main direction is to provide first class adventure and holiday experience in the Himalayas, all in a SUSTAINABLE and RESPONSIBLE manner.
We operate as such that the journeys ensure benefits to the local people and their surrounding as much as possible and any potential negative impacts at the destinations are minimized. At office, we encourage the staff to run the electrical appliances only when needed and also to control their usage. Besides, we work in accordance with ‘Think before you print’.
We have also conducted various plantation and river cleansing campaigns, in order to contribute to environmental conservation. To mark our seventh glorious anniversary, we organized Bagmati River Cleansing Program too. We want to do as much as possible for protecting the Mother Nature by our operations, special activities and awareness.
All our staff is from local communities. Our guides are English speaking and have years of experience as they live locally, displaying a wealth of knowledge in the Everest Region with local people and customs. Each guide comes fully equipped and supported by us, having obtained the training in the related tourism sectors including Ministry of Tourism in Nepal, High Altitude First Aid and Environmental issues for Nepal. We try to focus on all the aspects that contribute the community. We encourage local guides, porters so that it also helps us to contribute to enhance the economic source of those particular areas. We are also aware about the Corporate Social Responsibility. Therefore we are highly focused on the betterment of every individual to make our work more efficient. Also we donate a percentage of business profits to the foundation on a yearly basis, which supports the ongoing maintenance cost required for a community-based school in Gorkha District.
