Responsible tourism: Piedmont cycling holiday in Italy
For this tour, we have chosen a wildland shaped by erosion, from the Ticino Park to the hills of Monferrato. It's a destination that we think should be explored with the most respect possible for the environment: hence our use of the train for transfers, whilst the bulk of this holiday is on bike.
We prefer slow forms of travel, allowing tourists the luxury of being a "traveler", giving them a way to determine their own runtime, slowing down, disconnecting from life many routines, and enjoying the rhythms of the nature. We also do this to promote maximum contact with the places visited, which are the typical rows of vines or the alleys connecting blocks of stone farmhouses.
During our tour, which primarily consists of a visit through the hills on your bike, we also give the opportunity to get in contact with the place through food. We bring our tourists to cities off the beaten track like Alba Medieval, a city of truffles and great wines. In Cherasco and Bra (the home of slow food), where again we can enjoy the pleasure of taste. We put money back into the local economy of these cities, supporting local food producers and accommodation owners.
We want to support the development of small local farms, so our choices always fall on the entrepreneurs and locals. The tours offered by us, in addition to food, show the visitor the main character of a city, such as the Roman archaeological site of Bene Vagienna.
We respect land rights and access a when crafting our itineraries and remain aware of any social or traditional event that might be taking place in the areas visited, such as trade fairs or local festivity.
