Educational research and our own experience has shown that people who participate in the revegetation program are more likely to want to look after our coast and not participate in activities that are likely to cause further damage to the dunes.
The long-term benefits of the program are responsible users of the coast. Ultimately the program aims to change the long-term behaviours of the participants. Through taking action for the coast, behaviours and attitudes that are consistent with long term conservation of the coast can be developed.
The Centre received highly commended in the category of environmental experience the prestigious British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow awards.
