Responsible tourism: Southern Patagonia holiday, 13 days
This short tour through the southern tip of Patagonia encompasses a huge amount of natural wonders including Torres del Paine NP, Los Glaciares NP and Tierra del Fuego National Park. During these exciting excursions we aim to educate passengers on the environment and the ecosystems living in these diverse habitats. Clients are also taught to respect the environment and not litter and keep distance to wildlife they may encounter. Working in partnership with international conservation charity World Land Trust in our continuing quest to establish and maintain our position as a leader in responsible travel, we are offering a new way for our travellers to make a real contribution to the health of the planet - the Carbon Offset Scheme. When you book your tour with us you will be able to offset a portion of your share of the carbon emissions created while you are on your tour. We will calculate what clients have donated, and donate an additional 10% of the total to World Land Trust. Your contributions will be made directly to World Land Trust and we will not receive any direct financial benefit or commission from these donations.
We stay in locally owned hotels apart from in Torres del Paine where we camp. As this tour predominantly uses our overland vehicle for transport , we encourage passengers to leave all litter on the truck. Local Payment- This tour is an Overland Tour and thus requires a local payment. This money goes straight back into the local economy, often to small suppliers especially in regions such as Patagonia where banking options are more limited.
