Responsible tourism: Kenya, Tanzania & South Africa tour
This tour is dedicated to educating and promoting conservation of African wildlife. All wildlife excursions are led by experienced and highly trained local guides with an excellent knowledge of the wildlife and conservation efforts within the area. We strongly recommend maintaining a safe distance from all wild animals and try to impact the local environment as little as possible. The cost of these wildlife excursions goes to the local guides and to conservation programs in the local area. We visit Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater which are dedicated to the protection of the wildlife found here.
We travel by Overland truck. This reduces our carbon footprint and all waste and refuge is disposed of in a responsible manner. Our trucks are equipped with long range fuel tanks and comply with strict Euro IV emissions. The entry fees to the number of conservation and wildlife spots also go back to maintaining and preserving these programs.
Carbon Offset Scheme: Working in partnership with international conservation charity World Land Trust in our continuing quest to establish and maintain our position as a leader in responsible travel, we are offering a new way for our travellers to make a real contribution to the health of the planet - the Carbon Offset Scheme. When you book your tour with us you will be able to offset a portion of your share of the carbon emissions created while you are on your tour. We will calculate what clients have donated, and donate an additional 10% of the total to World Land Trust. Your contributions will be made directly to World Land Trust and we will not receive any direct financial benefit or commission from these donations.
Throughout the tour passengers have the chance to purchase local souvenirs in order to help local businesses. In Stone Town, Zanzibar there are a number of markets as well as a Spice Plantation tour where passengers are encouraged to purchase spices as the area is known for this produce.
We also visit Mlilwane, Swaziland on this tour. Here passengers have the chance to visit Matenga Cultural Village and learn more about the traditional song and dance as well as watching authentic performances.
We also stay in locally owned accommodation along the way including 2 nights in traditional rondavels in Swaziland.
