Responsible tourism: Thailand to Vietnam tour, 14 days
We visit several protected UNESCO sites on this tour, the fees of which go back to maintaining their upkeep including Angkor Wat. Whilst here our expert tour leaders will make sure that are passengers are aware of the importance of not leaving anything other than a footprint behind and make sure they pick up any litter.
This whirlwind two week tour gives our passengers the chance to experience three very different countries and learn about new cultures along the way. An overnight excursion on the Mekong Delta allows people to get a taste of Vietnamese life on the river, taking them to the floating markets and encouraging our passengers to help the community by buying homemade crafts.
Like on all of our Group Tours, where possible we always try and benefit the local communities we travel through. On this particular tour, we stay in locally owned hotels and guesthouses and our experienced Tour Leaders recommend private restaurants specialising in the local cuisine.
Along with this, one night is spent on Mekong Delta. Here, we are told about the local customs. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about the culture of the small communities living within the delta. We also stay one night on a junkboat in Halong Bay giving us the chance to explore the Vietnamese UNESCO site properly.
