Based in the Foping Nature Reserve of Shaanxi province, established by the state government to act as a protective area, join the conservation and preservation effort for China’s national treasure- the Giant Panda. This program allows volunteers to access a restricted area of Giant Panda habitat to assist in the conservation effort; assisting park rangers in monitoring of the panda population, through tracking of panda prints, feeding areas, and droppings; navigating the reserve via a series of trails, and assist in maintaining these essential pathways. When not out and active in the reserve, program participants have time to learn more about this critical Chinese conservation effort and about the Giant Panda in more detail.
