Don't leave it too late!
Please note that due to the nature of tailor-made trips to Sub-Saharan Africa we need at least 14 days between time of booking and departure. This time is essential for you to sort out passport, visa and health requirements and for us to make all the necessary holiday arrangements.

How this holiday makes a difference

The Great White Shark experience has become one of the defining tourist attractions along South Africa's coastline. Forever cast as a villain by Hollywood, this misunderstood predator is actually becoming an endangered species.

Where done sensitively by minimising intrusion to the marine environment, a great white shark cage dive can be a breathtaking experience accessible to anyone (not just divers).

We ensure that the plight of these spectacular animals is presented to our customers without undue intrusion on the marine environment. The educational aspect of these dives is a key part of the holiday experience. The dive operator supports shark research and consults on a regular basis with research biologists from leading South African Universities and musuems as well as international researchers' institutions.

Story of the thingstodo provider

Whilst volunteering on a coral reef in Tanzania, the founder of this company fell in love with Africa. Using her academic background in environmental science, she decided to do something practical and help the continent develop a sustainable tourism portfolio. She developed holidays which combine the obvious itinerary highlights with more unusual experiences such as home stays and township visits. She believes that there are great benefits to travel: it is a chance to widen your horizons, learn about other people and see a bit more of the world than just that little place you call home.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
