Tobago's Forest Reserve cloaks the island's Main Ridge and is the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere. As such, it's a fabulous place for anybody with an interest in nature. The birdlife is particularly varied. Tobago is a relatively late developer in terms of Caribbean tourism and has been able to learn from the mistakes of its neighbours, recognising natural heritage as one of its most important assets.
There is subsequently a healthy interest in preserving this resource and encouraging the development of low-impact non mass-market tourism. All of our hotels can provide or reccommend excellent local guides and simply by enjoying their services you will be contributing directly to this very important sector of the Tobagonian economy and encouraging the development of environmental tourism on the island.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
