Our Bali and Lombok honeymoon ensures that travellers become acutely aware of the importance of the islands’ cultural heritage and artistic and religious history. By visiting such places as Ubud, described as Bali’s cultural heartland, numerous temples, Tenganan village and enjoying a Kecak dance performance clients are able to experience a showcase of Balinese culture.
Accommodation on this honeymoon is carefully chosen for social and environmentally responsible reasons. Great care was taken at Jeeva Klui Resort on Lombok to conceptualise a resort with strong emphasis on providing a relaxing holiday experience, while at the same time using sensitive design and green practices.
It was built with sustainable local materials, such as handmade terracotta tiles, bamboo weaves, stone and recycled timber. Santika Beach Hotel at Seminyak was designed to reflect the artistic heritage of the Balinese people as was the Hotel Bali Spirit in Ubud which utilises traditional Balinese architecture, rich in natural materials.
By only employing staff born and bred in Indonesia, this operator is supporting the local economy. This benefits everyone: greater opportunities and economic benefits for local communities, and travellers get more under the skin of the country they visit. Seeing the country through the eyes of those who call it home is one of the main joys of travelling.
Our guides have a passion for their history and landscapes, and give you the insights and experience of the heritage and culture that only locals can. Throughout Bali and Lombok, we use locally-owned transport and local restaurants. And we always try to buy our supplies from local operators. Again, this both benefits local communities and makes for better travelling experiences, helping you get closer to different cultures. Through offering employment and steady revenue, tourism can ultimately make a real positive difference to local communities.
Indonesia, and in particular Bali, is a traditional country with strong religious sentiment and we ensure that our travellers are provided in advance with all the information they need relating to responsible tourism in order to prepare for their trip. This information covers aspects such as appropriate dress and behaviour, tipping customs as well as more general matters such as our littering.
We are constantly seeking new and innovative ways of neutralising our impact on the environment. Our Community Trust provides funds for local community projects and initiatives that promote responsible and sustainable tourism development in the destinations in which we operate. First and foremost, but not exclusively, the Trust supports projects and initiatives that advance education and employment within the tourism and hospitality industry. The Trust operates on a not-for-profit basis, with every cent of funds donated by us, our staff and our travellers, going to the nominated projects.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
