This area is a global hotspot of diversity with over 1500 species of tropical plants and 300 species of bird, as well as a variety of exotic animals including the endangered spectacled bear.
What’s more, because you’ll be working with the Rainforest Concern, you’ll also receive a wealth of other benefits including:
- Membership of Rainforest Concern; ‘Protector’ status for those staying up to seven weeks; ‘Guardian’ membership for those who stay more than seven weeks.
- Each volunteer sponsors five acres of rainforest during their first two weeks of their stay.
- Each volunteer sponsors an additional acre of rainforest for each week they stay thereafter.
Each volunteer also receives:
- certificate to confirm their membership status and the number of acres they have sponsored in the Choco-Andean Rainforest Corridor.
- Rainforest Concern T-shirt.
