1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The variety of the scenery and the amazing patience and tolerance of our guide Raj, who took such good care of me after I fell, the porters and their continuous willingness to help everyone who needed assistance, their patience and tolerance, answering questions about the nature and language, really made me feel like I was the only one to have ever done this walk.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I would not hesitate to book with this operator again, and to recommend them to anyone else who may have trepidation in coming to Nepal. The overall experience of being in the mountains for me the first time in Nepal and over 2500m, was constantly reassured by my guide Raj, that if I need anything all I had to do was ask.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

I feel that our contribution to the use of filtered water, when I saw other tour groups still buying water bottles and DUMPING them on track, most distressing. We were encouraged to take out all rubbish, and given bags to ensure this with the tour operator’s logo.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Overall it was most rewarding for me to complete the trip up to base camp and to spend a night there to really say I have been. The generosity of our guide Raj was unsurpassed and he made every effort to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything we required. His constant attention was unrelenting and he took to the time to make sure all our orders were filled, we had constant water, that everyone was good for the altitude. I have left with amazing memories most of which have been created by our guide and the porters. I hope to return their generosity in my own country.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Scale and beauty of the Himalaya Mountains. Culture and people we met. Views - sunrise from Poon Hill and 360 degree view from Annapurna base camp. Contrast between Katmandu and the wonderful varied countryside we walked through.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

You need a very warm sleeping bag, which can be hired, for higher altitudes. Learn as many Nepali words as possible. Take only what is necessary as the porters will be carrying your bag.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

All our food was bought locally and was mainly home grown. We were provided with a constant supply of filtered water which eliminated the need for plastic bottles and therefore rubbish was kept to a minimum. This was a non commercial organisation which generated income for charitable projects linked to education and the environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

A wonderful experience.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Trekking through Annapurna region. Beautiful valleys as well as mountains.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Good reliable equipment can be purchased in Kathmandu at very reasonable prices. The outskirts of Kathmandu are well worth visiting.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Not very visual while travelling, however, after being told about the work that is being done it is reassuring to know that local employment is generated and any enviromental impact is minimised. Also impressed by the charity work that goes on behind the scenes. However, did find Chitwan National Park slightly tough on the animals, felt elephants were over worked and that wildlife was often disturbed for benefit of the clients.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Was an excellent holiday, great natural beauty, varied environments and friendly locals without any of the hassle you find in many other countries. The travel company were also excellent, extremely attentive staff throughout, and everything progressed smoothly and without any problems. They also appear to take comments and feedback seriously.
