We as a small business have always believed in helping and giving back to our community and have done so by helping promote and start several community based self help projects, from a small coffee company, tribal handicraft co-op, handicapped NGO, to a local reforestation projects in the area of our venue.
As part of our local community, we invite local elders to help and partake in our Buddhist weddings. They will not accept payment for such things, but they do receive a chance to enjoy some excellent food and entertainment as well as to be shown the respect that local culture bestows upon our elderly. It is so import to provide all people a sense of self worth and usefulness, thus keeping our culture alive in Thailand today. We also try to promote Thai culture, Thai music and dramatical arts by hiring local professionally trained musicians and dancers and other performers for our weddings.
We recommend to our wedding guests great local producers and suppliers of local products like jewellery, wood carvings and silk and even assist in translating as often the best producers do not speak much English. We also tell them of non touristy markets and places to find the best deals. As well as great local restaurants where authentic local northern Thai cuisine may be found. We can also recommend some fun things to do like elephant ride, treks, mountain biking tours or even golf courses.
Our property was an abandoned farm due to the fact the slash and burn style farming practises had left the soil commercially unusable. With hard work and good soil restoration and management techniques and lots of loving care, it has been reclaimed to the point of a garden paradise - wedding venue (Thanks mostly to our head gardener "Khun Sea"). An adjacent small organic orchard growing old style Thai fruits and some of the land being reforested in Thai golden teak trees and other trees for future generations to enjoy and manage are all part of our overall wedding venue.
Even our wedding house is made from recycled teak and other woods from two old houses that were being torn down in favour of new concrete homes, so no new lumber was used in our main building. Our other buildings are made from mostly locally source materials like thatched roofing material or recycled tiles. We do use gray water to water part of our garden, we recycle all paper, old metal, plastic but it is normal here and viable economically too. Of course we compost organic waste what little have to help rebuild our soil. We also have mostly long life energy gas lighting or candles. We have air conditioning or fan if preferred but with our planting around the house we find a small micro climate developing and the need for air conditioning most of all the time.
The local staff knows the importance of water and energy conservation good environmental practices as here we all traditionally try to live with nature and accept when we do not the price to pay is high.
We employ 100% local staff from northern Thailand, most from the local area. We offer better than average wages and opportunities to all staff members. We have provided on the job training to all staff and sub suppliers on building professional skills in whatever area of employment they are in from gardeners to kitchen staff and even the drivers.
We offer employment opportunities to those not usually able to find work such as a hearing impaired individual, as well as illiterate workers, single mothers and local Hill tribe people.
This is not to say the service one receives is not the best there is, but just the contrary, ensuring your service with genuine whole hearted enthusiasm and appreciation of you coming to our small corner of the world to marry, has helped make possible a better life for so many. Yet we feel we can offer you a unique and wonderful experience too, a perfect wedding.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
