Small group holiday to Nepal

Small group holiday to Nepal

Small group adventure holiday
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.

How this holiday makes a difference

Our ground agent in Nepal has been working very hard to build a new community/sports/youth centre in a small village near to the Trisuli River. For every booking we receive to Nepal, we donate US $5 to continue the project. The club has space for 120 members and the youth club will be an invaluable way of bringing local communities together and teaching young people sports and vocational skills. You will be able to see the centre, en route to Bandipur.

Clients who travel with us will automatically receive a copy of our Responsible Travel leaflet. This contains details and advice on how you can make a positive difference when you travel. We work in partnership with Plan International. Plan works with some of the world’s poorest communities where three out of four children die before the age of five. We also support Friends of Conservation – an international charity committed to working with local people to develop a balance between their needs and the wildlife with which they share the natural habitat and ecosystems.

Global warming is a real issue and is a direct result of your travel. We have teamed up with Climate Care to give you the opportunity to offset the carbon emissions from your flight. You’ll be asked upon booking if you want to donate – with set amounts from £5. As a company we offset the carbon emissions from all staff travel in full. We’ve highlighted a few of the ways in which we offer our support, financially or otherwise, and now you can, too. We have set up our own foundation, which will administer funds donated by you. A small donation of £1 per person will be taken when booking a holiday and that money will be put to good use by one of our carefully selected projects. If you don’t want to make the donation, just tell us when you call.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Waking up in Bandipur - opening my attic bedroom door to the most magnificant sight of the pink mountains - such a WOW moment - one of so many on our trek.
Also my mountain flight to see the mountains and Everest - truly spectacular, magestic sight - the weather was so clear - no clouds anywhere - the top of Everest was totally clear too - a really emotional experience - my dream come true!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Just go!! Nepal is a beautiful country, the people are so friendly and helpful. All aspects of the trip were extremely well organised, the Group Leader was excellent, very capable, knowledgeable and informative about all aspects of the trip. The trekking was extremely well organised and pitched just right for quite a mixed ability group - everyone's wellbeing was very important to the Group Leader.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, I was very impressed the hear about quite a variety of projects operator, in conjunction with the local company, have been instigated in various parts of Nepal

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

An excellent holiday, an excellent experience, one which I very much hope to do again.

Top of the tops.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Trekking through areas not usually visited by trekkers where the locals had not yet got 'trekker fatigue'! Taught the village children lots of action songs and loved doing the Okey Kokey with all 14 of our group plus all the villagers!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Really felt everyone on our trip knew what they were up for and people were mentally and physically prepared.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Definitely felt the holiday benefited local people and minimized impacts on the environment - got the chance to visit a school the company was supporting and saw other evidence of support - lovely!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Great holiday, very much for people with a positive attitude. If you go prepared to enjoy yourself you will have a fantastic time!
