One of our three founding principles is making a positive Impact through our travels. In El Salvador, a country torn apart by violent civil conflict, we support the efforts of the town of Aguacayo to re-build their community which was completely destroyed in the late 1980's.
Formerly well known throughout the country for their typical candy (dulces de Aguacayo) We are working with community leaders to purchase the equipment needed to produce these candies once again. This will create self sustainable economic opportunity for the community and help revive a beloved tradition.
We aim to travel responsibly in other ways as well, working only with local, bi-lingual trip leaders as well as specialist guides and day leaders. Not only is this sustainable economic policy, it is by far the best way to learn about the local people and culture.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
