We are committed to providing personalised, fully hosted 4WD nature tours whilst preserving the unique nature and wildlife of Kangaroo Island. More than a third of the Island is protected as Conservation or National Park. We have attained National Parks and Wildlife accreditation and fully committed to protecting the environment. Our guides report to National Parks and Wildlife any wildlife concerns they may have observed whilst on tour. They also regularly report on animal and people movements within the parks environment.
Without disturbing the natural environment, our tours take visitors to known animal habitats where our experienced guides provide an insight into animal behaviour and ecology. We educate visitors to observe wildlife from a distance thereby not interrupting their natural behaviour.
We use only designated walking trails, which ensures the natural environment is not disturbed – many trails have cleaning stations to clean shoes or boots of soil thereby helping to prevent the spread of the Phytophthora fungus, which is damaging to the environment.
We promote a ‘leave no trace’ policy and clients are advised not to take any items from the beaches or parks as souvenirs. As part of our waste management policy all rubbish is to be brought back to base to be disposed in an environmentally responsible manner. In fact all of the rubbish collected on Kangaroo Island is transported off the Island to a central refuse and recycling depot. We contribute to a community-initiated monitoring program responsible for monitoring the long-term health of Kangaroo Island as a sustainable tourism destination. This involves monitoring the environmental, social, and economic effects (both positive and negative) that tourism has on Kangaroo Island.
Kangaroo Island is renowned for its local produce and where we can we will use local products, for instance the Island’s award-winning wines and cheeses. Our accommodation providers, together with all of the Island’s accommodation houses, are aware of the need to maintain the Island’s pristine wilderness and observe conservation policies. The Island has a quarantine policy which requests that visitors do not bring items such as: bees and honey products to the Island – Kangaroo Island is a bee sanctuary with a species of bee found nowhere else on the planet. We are committed to using local guides. Most of our guides have spent their lives on Kangaroo Island and all of them have lived on the Island for over 25 years.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
