Responsible tourism is very much imperative as it becomes a responsibility of each and every individual in the tourism industry, as the very sustainability of the industry depends on this significant factor. Before our Manaslu charity trek commences our guide will brief group members on the importance of conservation in the environment as part of our responsible tourism efforts.
We only offer a limited amount of places for this trek to protect the ecological surroundings of this remote area. Our commitment extends to providing direct employment and economic returns to guides, porters and traditional local Nepalese villages that we stay in. Tented accommodation along this tour is of a very basic standard, minimising the use of non-bio degradable products, and using organic vegetables, fruits and consumables which are sourced from the surrounding communities to benefit the local villages.
We are dedicated to giving something back to the local community. From your participation in this trek US $200 per person is donated to the Sambhav Nepal Foundation which is a registered non-profit organisation seeking to provide modern education, health and development opportunities for the local communities in an isolated area of the Gorkha region. This donation will enable us to start building Bhairabi Primary, a new English medium education school equipped with a library, desks, chairs, quality staff and clean water facilities. Our target is to bring empowerment and sustainability to this area.
Our aims:
- Focusing on uneducated and remote villages.
- To extend our projects through many other remote areas of the Gorkha Region
- Provide assistance and skilled training to empower local people to gain benefit for their individual lives.
- Support communities through school renovations, community resources, clean water facilities, health Camps.
- Maintain a continuing relationship with community leaders and families

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
