How this holiday makes a difference

We make your holiday to Egypt unforgettable but not at the expense of the environment or the local people. Concerning local community, We encourage clients to buy handmade artifacts from the local producers like perfume, papyrus, carpets and pharaonic gold or silver souvenirs. So they can deal directly with local people with the help of our local guides. Moreover, we use locally owned hotels and restaurants and their employees are local people.

Through our environmental responsibility, we advise clients to keep all historical places as we found them with out touching sites and dropping litter and we always advise guests to conserve the environment and not to smoke at the historical sites. Moreover; our local staff are well trained on how to deal with the environment. Also, all our modern air-conditioned cars are provided with baskets for rubbish in addition to environmental filter on the exhaust pipe for keep our environment clean. There is always inspection from the Transportation Manager on the cars to ensure the cleanliness of the cars. Moreover, for all historical sites in Egypt, part of their fees contribute to conservation. For example, there are local staff for cleaning at these sites taking their salaries from those fees.

We offer charitable organization for our clients to visit, like Masr Al Mahrusa Baladi. Masr Al Mahrusa Baladi Organization (NGO) tries to improve the quality of education in Egypt at governmental schools especially primary schools and taking care of genius students at governmental schools. Also, that organization helps in wiping out illiteracy in addition to bringing up and educating orphans.

During the trip, we give a brief description of Egypt from Pharaonic time until the time of the revolution in 1952. We also give out information about the Arabic language, local religions and appropriate dress (particularly for women).

Everyone was extremely helpful and everything went according to plan - we both enjoyed it very much. When we found we did not want to go to Abu Simbel - because it was one-tour-too-far with a nine year old, another option was worked out for us in Aswan- Mahmoud Nubi was a wonderful guide, a real character and very knowledgeable. Being able to check into hotels early was a real bonus because finding yourself fresh off an overnight train - with 6 hours to hang around to book into your hotel would have been dispiriting. I was pleased to be able to renegotiate start times so that we could enjoy a relax in the hotel at the pool too - those considerations are important especially when the hotels have been chosen for those facilities - there has to be time to enjoy them. I will return to Egypt and recommend your service to friends and family. Take care and thank everyone for their professional and friendly service.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It is hard to pick one single point from the holiday. The schedule we drew up included internal flights, road travel and a four day Nile cruse. It was good that the full plan fell into place with no hick-ups.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The tour operator did a fantastic job from collecting us from the airport on day one to returning us back to the airport on day 10. We stayed in three hotels and the four day Nile cruse, the accommodation and food was very good good. The transport provided was very comfortable and the drivers were professional, the tour reps spoke good English and were very friendly.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Don’t know about impacts on the environment but there must be benefits to local people as Egypt depends a lot from foreign visitors.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Gauging by the reaction of a 18y (son) and a 16y (daughter), the holiday met all expectations for our family.
