In Lebanon we use local ground agents, use local guides and drivers, providing employment for a number of members of staff, supporting families. We promote and favour locally owned accommodation such as small family run hotels and guesthouses, local home stays and traditional accommodation.
Our local agent has close relationships with and supports several NGOs including SRI International and ANERA which have been selected to improve the economic, natural and community development to local communities in rural areas.
Due to a number of ancient sites being visited in the itinerary, it has been designed to take into consideration the potential that tourism has, to positively benefit the physical environment by contributing to the ongoing renovation needed to ensure these splendid monuments remain for another thousand years! Similarly when visiting the famous Cedars of Lebanon the protection and conservation of biological diversity and natural resources, while minimising (or compensating for) pollution and waste generation is also taken into account.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
