Fiji has experienced some serious economic consequences as a result of political and the wider global economic situation, with two key industries: tourism, and sugar cane export being particularly effected.
The Yasawa Islands, in consultation with our partners in Fiji, have been identified as locations in particular need of assistance in several key areas, such as health, education, water, and power - it is in this context that our company has been invited to assist with these fundamental needs.
This program has been created to focus directly on the educational deficit prevailing in Fiji, assisting local teachers to improve the opportunities for local children. English language skills are particularly important in the context of the recovering tourism industry, and also facilitates communication across different ethnic communities on the islands.
