Our company is conservation conscious and this whole safari is drawn with regards to conserving the environment. Overnight stays are at Eco-friendly camps in Masai Mara like: Mara Fig Tree, Bush Buck Mara Camp and Flamingo Camp at Lake Nakuru which are more semi-permanent and tented thus having little impact to the environment they are set in. While some of our guests specify the accommodation and transport they require, we are keen supporters of the eco-lodge concept. These lodges are owned by the local people and are usually to be found outside protected areas but teeming with wildlife.
We contribute towards the various environmental conservations by belonging to organisations such as the Ecotourism Society and Nature Kenya. We also actively take part in environmental awareness activities such as beach clean-ups and World Bird Watch. James, our Naturalist has been working as a volunteer in conjunction with WWF EARPO in training of local forest scouts and guides in Shimba hills national reserve and Arabuko Sokoke Forest.
One environmental friendly office practice we have adopted is ROC (Reduction of Costs). We encourage recycling of envelopes and printing paper to both keep our operating costs low and also save our forests from where we get paper. We also use detergents and other materials in the office that do not harm our environment.
We are a Kenyan owned company and give priority to the locals in terms of employment. This includes driver guides, sales and reservations teams as well as administration. It's also beneficial to the local community villages as we highly recommend our clients to visit them to experience first hand their way of living. Also lodges and camps used throughout the itinerary have more than 50% of their locals as employees. At Masai Mara we emphasize on using camps in locally managed conservations areas with conservation fees paid by clients benefiting local communities directly through their own managed cooperative societies. This helps to harmonise, conservation and appreciation of wild animals in their lands as its a source of income for them.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
