You will be working on our reef conservation project which is helping to survey the reefs in the area where we work as well as clearing debris from the reefs. It is work that would not be done without our volunteers. There is also work planting mangroves which is so important since the tsunami washed so many away. One of the most satisfying parts of the projects is going into local schools and explaining to local students the importance of the conservation work that we are doing.
We take seriously our responsibilities towards the communities we work with in Thailand. We have full time local staff on the ground that will meet you from the airport, give you an induction on arrival and support you from our local office throughout your stay. They are local people who we pay a good local wage and can give you all the information and support you will need during your stay. They have been trained by us to work with visiting volunteers.
In Thailand you will be staying at a house with other volunteers. We employ a local cook to provide you with meals and look after the house. The food for your meals and the chairs you sit on have all probably been made locally. We aim to support local suppliers. Living in Thailand will give you an opportunity to be a real part of the local community. Most of the money that you spend during your time at the placement will be at grassroots level going into local Thai businesses. Our organisation is environmentally responsible. We recycle at our offices and offset our carbon emissions from staff flying to our destinations around the world. We believe that actions like this can be the first step towards preserving the planet for future generations.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
