We take our responsibilities towards the communities we work with in Cambodia seriously. We have full time local staff on the ground that will meet you from the airport, give you an induction on arrival and support you from our local office throughout your stay. They have been trained by us to work with visiting volunteers.
Our trips are designed to be two way experiences and encourage our volunteers to immerse themselves into the culture and learn its history.
In Cambodia you will be staying in a locally owned guest house with other volunteers and we also recognize that volunteers spend their own money on drinks, transport, souvenirs, services (taxis), medical care, park fees which are major contributors to local supplier’s incomes and the overall economy.
We invest at least 70% of your placement fee in the local community, local salaries or local suppliers. Living in Cambodia will give you an opportunity to be a real part of the local community.
Our organisation is environmentally responsible. We recycle at our offices and offset our carbon emissions from staff flying to our destinations around the world and actively invest in a local reforestation project (3 4 1 Trees for Life) in Cambodia on an ongoing basis.
We believe that volunteering is vital to developing a better future in which we work, however we always ensure that you are not replacing local staff, if there is an alternative we will help fund this - Let's be the change in the world!

You can trust responsibletravel.com reviews because, unlike many other schemes, reviews can ONLY be written by people who we have verified have been on the holidays. In addition, we don't run these holidays ourselves - our only interest is giving you the best independent advice.
