We take seriously our responsibilities towards the communities we work with in Tanzania. We have a small team in country and are supported by our local partners who will look after you on the ground and they will meet you from the airport, give you an induction on arrival and support you from our local office throughout your stay. They have been trained by us to work with visiting volunteers.
Our trips are designed to be two way experiences and encourage our volunteers to immerse themselves into the culture and learn its history. We encourage you to know and experience traditional life in Africa - what better way to immerse yourself into the culture and way of life of these great people. Our partners work is women led and staffed 100% by local people, we follow there lead it is their project for their people and not ours – please respect this.
We also recognize that volunteers spend their own money on drinks, transport, souvenirs, services (taxis), medical care, park fees which are major contributors to local supplier’s incomes and the overall economy. We would always encourage you to use ecological and environmentally aware local suppliers and where possible will help you with this.
In Tanzania volunteers will stay in the community in a small guest house which is locally owned or with one of our partner’s staff families. We always aim to support local suppliers, employ local staff where possible and invest at least 70% of your placement fee in the local development work and community, this pays for local salaries and ensures that local suppliers benefit directly.
Our organisation is environmentally responsible and this is central to our ethos, whilst we would always look for local alternatives we believe that by volunteering you are helping to develop a better future for the children of Uganda - Let's be the change in the world!

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
