Small group adventure holiday
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.

How this holiday makes a difference

On this trip: This epic adventure is perfect for those with a little more time on their hands who want to explore three countries in three weeks. You’ll travel by boat, plane, train, bicycle and tuk tuk. Thailand, Laos and Cambodia are visited in turn and the differences between these neighbouring countries will unfold as you explore the towns, villages and National Parks. From Bangkok the journey heads to Kanchanaburi and the Bridge on the River Kwai, then north into hilltribe country around Chang Mai. Into Laos for a cruise along the Mekong River and after visiting the temples for Vientiane you head to Cambodia and the extraordinary complex at Angkor.

Our small group adventures are designed to impact as little as possible on the regions through which we travel – this trip is no exception. We work closely with an Indian agent who employs local guides, drivers and the Group Leader on our behalf and money from our visit reaches a wide range of people from local hoteliers to restaurateurs. Our small groups have minimal impact on the environment, and our interaction with local people helps demonstrate the importance of preserving the region’s cultural heritage whilst protecting sites of historical and natural importance.

We are usually able to visit a hilltribe orphanage in Chiang Mai. This is an optional trip, however, the charge from which goes to the orphanage. We also donate $5 per person who visits.

Groups will visit an elephant conservation centre and hospital on this trip. Seeing domesticated elephants in Thailand does not come more responsible than doing so at the revered Lampang Elephant Conservation Centre. Elephant are most certainly NOT overworked.

Our Responsible Travel Code: Clients who travel with us will automatically receive a copy of our Responsible Travel leaflet. This contains details and advice on how you can make a positive difference when you travel. If you would like a copy in advance of travel please contact us.

Our Foundation: We’ve highlighted a few of the ways in which we offer our support, financially or otherwise, and now you can, too. We have set up our own foundation, which will administer funds donated by you. A small donation of £1 per person will be taken when booking a holiday and that money will be put to good use by one of our carefully selected projects. If you don’t want to make the donation, just tell us when you book.

Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
