Small groups: We limit our group to a maximum of 10 persons, our members are informed on how to behave while trekking and staying with the locals.
Local guides: They were born in Mai Chau and Pu Luong, speak Vietnamese and tribal languages like Thai and Hmong to help bridge the gap between the locals and tourists.
Homestays: We spend all nights in the local homes of the Thai and Hmong, we pay them directly on each trip and our travelers have the chance to learn so much more about their culture and customs. Rotation of families for homestays in Mai Chau and Pu Luong is our priority since everyone in the village are happy and willing to take part.
Local food: During the homestay, we ask the Thai & Hmong in Mai chau & the Thai in Pu Luong to cook dinner for us. They will use their homemade vegetable, fishes and chicken for our delicious meals. So our money stays here.
Environment: Our guides while trekking and visiting Mai Chau and Pu Luong villages, pick up trash when possible to make the village clean and to set the example to others. We also introduce environmental awareness into our conversations with the locals so that they can do the same.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
