We feel it is important to use local guides on all safaris, both for you the traveller and for the local community. The local guides know the area better than anyone else does and so you get the most out of your experience. The guides and staff have regular employment, thus minimizing poverty in the area. They see the importance of tourism and will help promote the conservation of the wildlife to rest of their village. This helps combat poaching in these large tracts of land.
Botswana imposes a minimal impact strategy to their lodge structure. Most camps that we use are tented camps with little damage done to the environment. All camps are designed so that when they are removed the bush will return to its normal state after just 5 years. We use the Kwando concession on this trip which is over a million acres in total, but there are only 4 camps with a maximum of 28 tents in total so the impact on the environment is minimal.
We aim to minimise our impact on the environment as much in the UK as we would do in any of our destination countries. We do this through recycling of any office waste including, paper, plastic, cans, glass, refuse, in partnership with the Borough of Brighton and Hove. The purpose of our safaris is to contribute to local populations, communities and projects. We give our travellers advice on how to interact with the local population, flora and fauna in order to minimise any negative impact. We advise people not to bargain just for the sake of it and because it is the “thing to do”; you should pay what you feel the object is worth to yourself and the vendor, bearing in mind local cultures, society and standard of living.
This wildlife tour operator is staffed by ex-guides who have firsthand knowledge of the regions they visit. They believe it’s important to escape the bustle of today’s world, where everything is done so quickly, and get back to basics in an environment you have little control over. Delivering inspirational wildlife experiences offers a different challenge every day and the team are passionate about managing travellers’ time to get the most out of their trip. They feel their specialist knowledge puts them in a truly privileged position and they put back into the economy and wildlife as much as they can.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
