French Alps family adventure holiday
This is a 'small group family adventure' - typically you will join several other families and travel in a group of approx. 16 people. The trips are great value and a great way for you and your children to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of time to yourselves. Most adventure kids tend to be aged between 7 and 15, but some are younger (minimum age is usually 5) and some older (perhaps travelling as part of a larger family group). Please check with the operator to confirm the minimum age for this trip
How this holiday makes a difference
Environment
We have selected accommodation that is walking distance form all the activites to limit the need for transport. Our accommodation is very well insulated with Kingspan. Cardboards, paper, plastics and glass are recycled and all food waste is composted.
Community
We buy the bulk of our fresh food from the local farmers market. Our food is mostly vegetarian.
We use local guides and have an emphasis on ‘protecting the mountains’ and environmental awareness on all of our holidays.
We don’t conquer the mountains but flow in harmony with them! Our holidays promote engaging in sport from the ‘Inside’ and a respect for the natural environment.
We encourage our guests to engage with the local culture, and eat in the village and explore the weekly Farmers market. We work with local shops.
We are partners with a Charity called Respect the Mountains who organise an annual event. If the Envirotrek coincides with our Family Adventure Week we all get involved in a fun day of Rubbish collecting, BBQues and Adventure Activities.
