The ride provides sustenance to the elephant and its mahout. Besides the tourism helps local communities that depend upon employment initiative from tour operators.
1. These are not working elephants but are used for this purpose only (tourism / rides).

4. the elephants do not belong to any agency in fact, are owned by private people who are in this business for many generations and have a family type relationship with these elephants.

Throughout we prevent waste do not carry plastic bags, encourage local guides to pick up litter and deliver to right disposable sites. We strive to inculcate guests, resorts and service provider to use biodegradable materials, and to reuse and recycle them. Shram Daan as it is known in Hindi is participation in labour projects that are eco friendly, we encourage and initiate it.
Wildlife conservation initiative. The nature interpretation efforts educate and encourage guests to conserve it. We make tourists familiar with the ecosystem and the wildlife and birds that dwell in it. Tigers, leopard, elephants, deer, sloth bear, wild dogs, goral, serow, are all part of the ecosystem vital for our survival as well. Understanding wildlife is crucial for its conservation. Tourism plays a vital role in making laymen familiar with how the nature works.
Ecotourism is not only holiday-making but it should end up initiating love for wilderness, inculcating conservation practices. We encourage guest's service providers to participate in nature conservation as a member of an NGO or provide financial aid to projects taking place.
We encourage sustainable practices vis a vis construction and use of alternative energy resources. We associate with accommodations which induct alterative energy generation and use locally available raw materials for construction.
Community
The benefit sharing approach has empowered local communities which in turn generates protective instinct among them. The local communities are the real sentinels of our heritage. The benefits accrue from employment and subsequent skill generation. Many locals have become expert naturalist and guides, cooks and wait staff. The tourism encourages development of artistic skills as tourist by local artefacts created by the tribesmen.
The empowerment of local communities does stop here. Lot of infrastructure development results from tourism as it becomes more popular, and general well being increases. Schools, health centres and related facilities are boon due to tourism present here. We encourage participation in these activities by the guests and service providers.
Responsible wildlife tourism has opened new vistas for development of the regions we visit on package tours. We have been at the forefront of ecotourism and adheres and encourages green practices and wildlife conservation. Sustainable use of natural resources help conserve the environment and hence our society.
The elephants which we use do not belong to any agency but are locally are owned by private people who are keeping elephants from generations and have a family type relationship with them. Tourism helps them to take care of their elephants & their family.
On this trip we support an NGO called Jagriti who are involved in giving education, accommodation, clothing and food to small children who are found begging in railway stations.
