All guides used are from the local area and will have often spent a lot of their life here in Chamonix. We find these guides tend to have a greater understanding and feel a greater sense of responsibility for the environment around them. It’s a win, win situation as our clients get the best treatment and the environment gets the same.
Produce for meals is bought locally to reduce our carbon footprint and to promote trade in our area. Chamonix boasts a great market every weekend where local authentic produce can be purchased for competitive prices.
We hand out free Carte d’Haute which is a card allowing you to use public transport when in resort. That includes the tram and busses expanding through the whole Chamonix valley allowing you to be a little more independent for absolutely free.
Recycling is a big must of ours and we actively encourage guests to use the recycling bins provided when our staff are not around.
Transport in resort and to and from the airports are controlled as to reduce the amount of needless trips. One transfer in the morning, one in the evening and one to and from the airport is all we provide maintain our policy of reducing our carbon footprint.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
