Kenya & Tanzania Lodge Safari

Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.

How this holiday makes a difference

For every week that our passengers spend in Africa, we plant a tree in Kenya through the Woodlands 2000 Trust, a local NGO. The Woodlands 2000 Trust is a wonderful project that provides seeds and seedlings with planting materials as well as land-planning, tree survival and woodlot management services. It aims to increase reforestation and bio-diversify in semi-arid regions, and also to create sustainable and profitable tree products micro-industries that contribute to alleviating poverty.

Africa is a difficult region of the world with very limited and we believe strongly in low impact tourism and so during this trip we use existing locally owned facilities and lodges. We have always felt that Africans are better placed to show you Africa than we are! It has also been our policy to employ local guides where appropriate, and to purchase food in local markets (except in cases of shortages) so that money is well distributed in the regions we visit. Our local leader will educate you about disposing their water bottles, use of water and electricity in the hotel rooms.

During game drives in the parks, the drivers will only drive on the marked roads and tracks even when other cars do.
