The best thing about this trip is that you’re on your feet! No cars, no emissions, reduced global footprint! From any of our properties in Chamonix as soon as you step out the door you are never more than 5 minutes away from a hiking path. On the odd occasion you want to go further afield we provide you with Carte d’hautes. We purchase these cards so you can travel on public transport free of charge and there is plenty of it (train, tram and bus)!
Our team of expert guides and staff have lived in the local area for many years and know Chamonix inside out. Their expertise and guidance really allows you to embrace the Chamonix culture. They purchase produce locally and introduce you to local shops where you can find the best deals, so all guides used are from the local area and will have often spent a lot of their life here in Chamonix. We find these guides tend to have a greater understanding and feel a greater sense of responsibility for the environment around them. It’s a win, win situation as our clients get the best treatment and the environment gets the same.
Produce for meals is bought locally to reduce our carbon footprint and to promote trade in our area. Chamonix boasts a great market every weekend where local authentic produce can be purchased for competitive prices. Equipment is rented locally from our friendly partners
