Environment
We will prepare reusable fork or chopsticks instead of using throwaway chopsticks. Our tour manager will bring along trash bags to make sure there is no littering on the journey. In Beijing, we will meet managing director of Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Centre at their office and visit their small exhibition room with their projects. The visiting fee will benefit the organization directly. In Shanxi, we will visit a rural village nearby Pingyao. We hire a villager as our local guide there. Books and stationary will given to village children as gifts.
Community
Our tour leaders will give detailed briefings to our clients, as well as our local staff on our policy of respecting the local culture; the different practices in each destination, so that clients will be able to adjust their behaviour accordingly.
We hire local guides and drivers in each destination we travel to. On this trip, we stay at local hotels at each stop, and we will have the opportunity to visit local families and understand their local customs and traditions. We encourage our clients to bring some meaningful gifts to thank the hosts, such as books and stationeries.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
