Small group cultural tours
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends it's good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as experiencing new cultures.

How this holiday makes a difference

Environment

The maximum number in the group will be 6 people and will hike instead of using vehicle along the dirt road to minimize the negative impact on the environment. Degradable and non-bio degradable products will be separated and disposed of in proper places at the farm house and other places as well.Hiking will be on designated trails only. Appropriate transport will be used to minimize carbon emissions and save energy. Rafting is done under the strict regulation issued by the forest department.

Community

Visit to the community school will help both the guest and host to share their experience and learn from each other. Overnight stays in the farm house will contribute to the local economy directly and will indirectly help the other farmers there by buying their farm products and other souvenir. The visit to the Craft Bazer in Thimphu, will help traditional arts and crafts factories and also contribute towards the sustainability of the indigenous craft. Local authentic dishes will be served wherever possible in locally owned restaurants or hotels. Meet with the local community to learn more about their culture and happiness ingredients in day to day life.

Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
