Self guided cycling holiday in Switzerland and France
How this holiday makes a difference
Environment
As members of Transportation Alternatives in New York, Pro-Velo in Geneva and Bourgeons in Annemasse, France, we are proud to offer our clients the opportunity to offset their carbon by using pollution-free bicycles.
Our trip takes you along the shores of Lake Geneva, as well as through the French countryside, cycling by the region's vineyards and fields. It is organized on a self-guided basis, offering you the chance to experience such natural beauty while leaving behind a smaller footprint than would a guided tour.
Community
Visiting many of the local towns such as Signy, the medieval village of Yvoire and Anthy-sur-Léman, you will experience total freedom. Whether visiting a museum, browsing and shopping at a local market or enjoying a leisurely lunch, this self-guided tour will permit you to not just observe, but experience the local people, environment and culture. Many of the restaurants used on this tour are also family-owned, serving seasonal, locally grown produce of the freshest of quality.
Relying on local guides and family-owned hotels, you will be ensured a warm, personalized welcome. All properties are run by people who have a passion for their region and its cultural, gastronomic and historical heritage. We use genuine places with local charm, blending harmoniously into the environment. Our hotels offer guests a pleasant, nice-sized environment. Some of them have as few as two rooms, while others are small human-sized hotels.
