Environment
The group size is restricted to as minimal as possible this to have a minimum affect on the environment. A high environmental standard is maintained on this tour; particularly on our overnight desert camp. We also ensure that the animals we use are well treated and able to manage their workload.
All stay has carefully chosen so as to be environmentally friendly and many of them use CFL lamps for lighting to save electricity. Many of them grow their own vegetable for their daily needs in their own gardens and most of the Heritage hotels recycle waste water for gardening purposes. Though left to clients choice, we also promote a rick-shaw ride in Delhi as opposed to bus transit or taxi to avoid congestion.
Community
In this trip we have added a visit to lot of heritage properties to support the cultural heritage of these monuments. This is important to prevent these ever enchanting structures to fall into a sad state of negligence. Funds from tourism will help regenerate these architectural masterpieces. We only use local Indian guides for this trip who have a vast knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, their country and their culture. In the entire itinerary, there is a great scope of shopping in local markets. These markets consists of Handloom products, Local artefacts etc. Tourism has helped these small vendors to uplift themselves and earn their bread and butter. The camp used in Pushkar/Ajmer employs local people and returns tourist revenues to local people.
