Surrey Hills adventure tours
How this holiday makes a difference
Environment
The Safari allows participants to experience the landscape and environment close up with virtually no impact on it.
When canoeing we regularly see kingfishers, herons and an abundance of waterside flora & fauna. When walking we have the opportunity to see the landscape and wildlife in detail. Cycling is admittedly a bit faster but sometimes you get the opportunity to literally taste the landscape!
We insist that we respect the environment, we aim to have no lasting impact on where we go ensuring all our litter is removed and taken back with us, we believe in taking memories and only leaving footprints.
We always use designated campsites, rather than create our own which can damage the environment and leave an impact with campfires and latrine sites.
The nature of our safaris means that our participants use only what water they personally require and minimal generated energy (apart from their own).
We actively encourage our participants to arrive and depart by public transport where available. The safari has been designed around arrival and departure points close to railway stations. When on safari we use mini-buses, which have a low carbon footprint per passenger.
For the fully catered safari's we try where possible to source food locally and are currently working with the Surrey Hills to source more local suppliers.
Community
When we use local pubs, cafes & restaurants we aim to select those which serve locally sourced food and are genuine local businesses, sharing our ethos.
Within the safari package there are opportunities to employ the services of local specialist guides, e.g. wildlife, history, geography & geology.
As a company working primarily in the landscape, we are passionate about its protection, without it we would not have a business! We have membership of the key activity provider trade associations which often campaign on our behalf.
Specifically we support a number of charitable causes including Chase a local Surrey charity, we have also just raised £15,000 for Leukemia Research by riding from London to Chamoix.
All our staff are locally based, with opportunities to work in this country and abroad. We provide all staff with the required training to achieve the appropriate qualifications for the activities we provide.
If required the safari can be tailored to include activities around local arts and crafts, such as visits to galleries, potteries, craft workshops and arts venues.
The safari takes the participants into the heart of the landscape, we therefore insist that they respect it and the people living and working there. We understand promote and adhere to the countryside code.
Landscape
We believe the Surrey Hills Safari's offers a unique opportunity for a variety of people from all backgrounds to experience the landscape first hand, whether on foot, on two-wheels, on the water or overnight with the stars above their heads.
We enjoy imparting our knowledge, experience and passion for this special landscape to all our participants. We hope that this and the actual safari experience gives them a genuine appreciation and respect for what makes our protected landscapes so special and worth preserving in ever challenging times.
We feel that in our own small way Dynamic Adventures are ambassadors for the landscape in which we operate in; whether the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The South Downs National Park, across the South West or world-wide!
