Environment
As a principle, we support responsible holidays in Turkey and encourage traveller and businesses to be part of Turkey’s responsible traveller community. We are giving eco-friendly tips to our guests and encourage them to follow these travel tips. Our believe all these actions will add up to change in the world.
In our tours we try to avoid destinations that already overcrowded.
We support Climate Care, who takes a small payment based on predicted CO2 emissions from your flight. Climate Care works with several partners, among them universities and charities, to fund with your money projects in sustainable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation in Africa and all over the World. We present the details of Carbon Offset Programme when the travellers book with us. We encourage our partners to limit their trash and use recycled/recyclable products.
We make sure that our guests who join our tours are aware of suggested or legal approach distances and other recommandations for observing wild life.
We are fully licenced UK based tour operator with ambitions to change tourism for the long-term benefit of local people, tourists, the environment and the tourism industry in Turkey. We recognise and support the 2002 Cape Town Declaration and we are the Tree Planting Partner of Billion Tree Campaign, United Nations Environment Program.
As a eco friendly business, we avoid waste: conserve water, energy and paper. We work with responsible organizations.
Community
To accommodate our guests we only use small family run guesthouses, lodges, historical boutique hotels that employ local workers. In the case of larger hotels, we only collaborate with non-chain locally owned establishments.
Whilst having holiday in our hotels, you will eat traditional, healthy Mediterranean food prepared from locally grown organic ingredients. All foods not actually grown on our eco-friendly accommodations are sourced from other local growers. On our cultural tours we encourage travellers to get closer to local culture & local people.
All of guides used in the destinations we visit are licenced local guides with proper national accreditation where demanded by law, for all of our guiding activities. As well as contributing to the local economy, this practice ensures that our passengers learn about the region that they are visiting first hand from someone who knows the area(s) intimately and provides local employment.
On our group tour, we select operators and hotels that have and abide by responsible tourism policy and adresses enviromental and cultural issues, as well as making a financial contribution to community or enviromental projects.
Respect for local people, their cultures, traditions, religions and environment are essential to our philosophy and our tours and we work hard to ensure our groups have a positive impact on the places and people visited.
