Memorable for me for wonderful wildlife we really saw ( so often we have been disappointed, even in Amazon rain forest). We saw dolphins and seals and lots of beautiful sea birds, we fished and laid lobster pots. We caught a lobster, along with crab and star fish, and netted plankton which we examined under microscope.

Hmmm, so many good bits. Seeing such diverse parts of the country with such different landscapes - all within 140 miles; having the route to ourselves most of the time; meeting the challenge of a three-day cycle with quite a lot of big hills; meeting lovely people; great B&Bs etc. (more)I loved it! It helped the environment and taught you a lot about the area and animals around you. We were kept entertained and had a really fun time - I will always remember this holiday. (more)
We were blessed with consistently clear, sunny almost 80-degree weather. And the small towns where we stayed overnight were charming and still very rural, but with nice accommodations and pubs. We have never been on a walking holiday of this duration, and it's by far the best form of locomotion. (more)Most memorable? All the sea kayaking around the stunning coast and getting close up to seals and sea birds which was only possible from being in kayaks and having top coaching from our guide who made us feel at ease in all conditions. B&B was excellent with very comfortable accommodation, great food, wonderful Highland stoneware crockery (a personal favourite) and fantastic facilities. (more)We loved the location of the straw bale cabin, right in the middle of a working farm, beautiful countryside all around. The only noises the sounds of the animals and birds. Bliss for get away from it all city dwellers. (more)The location itself was very quiet and peaceful, but only a short journey to the facilities of the nearest town. Just a lovely relaxing time - bike routes well marked, flora & fauna interesting, pubs perfectly placed for provisions....Really good. Off peak, so avoided crowds. B&B accomodation was lovely - spacious, hospitable & accomodationg. (more)
We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting.

My holiday was in the Outer Hebrides – a wonderful, awe inspiring and educational 7 days. The scenery was magnificent but one the most memorable experience for me was sharing it with five others that were just as impressed with both the location and history of the area as I was. (more)
The most memorable parts were: felting, listening to the storyteller by the fireplace, visiting Glen Affric and the waterfalls, delicious food. It was an unforgettable week of active relaxation! (more)
It was all good! The relaxation break offered us a variety of activities, as well as the opportunity to just be restful. The small size of the group meant it was possible to get to know the other guests quite well and there were many interesting conversations. (more)

This was our second visit to The Cotswolds (last over 4 years ago) and we were charmed anew. Too often our holiday experience has been such we're ready to return home after a few days, but on this occasion a week passed quickly, happily, relatively comfortably.
(more)A particular highlight was the welcome we received from Carrie and Colin. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we could possibly want, including maps, guide books and a lift to and from Fowey in the evening.

With the increased concern about flying, UK holidays are enjoying somewhat of a comeback.
Having come a long way since the Victorian era when people first started holidaying, there is now a lot more to a holiday in the British Isles than Butlins and building sand castles at Skegness.
