The view from the house was outstanding, seeing it every day was even better. It must have been the best view from a holiday cottage I have ever seen! I will always remember it.

(more)The location is perfect for sightseeing in Sintra, cliff walking, forest trails, beach visits, day trip to Lisbon or Cascais, good and reasonable eating options...the perfect cocktail of good accommodation , helpful hosts, location, scenic walking, sightseeing and food. Some of the most memorable parts of the holiday were: finding eggs in the hen house, lying in the bath at Fisherman's Cottage watching the sea, wine tasting at La Cantina, Teguise & at El Grifo Bodega and driving on the fabulous, twisty, unique scenic roads. The peace and tranquillity were sublime. A lovely property with all the mod cons (even a coffee machine) however in wonderful rural surrounds. The garden of the property was a delight. The countryside of the Loire was beautiful, the village a short bike ride away. We had a really great holiday. Definitely recommended. Also very baby friendly - my daughter loved the swings and all the toys provided...
