Japan holidays, tailor made
The autumn colours were just amazing in Japan. Its a fascinating culture with so many memorable experiences, just a few spring to mind, walking the Nakesendo highway, staying at the Mitsui Garden hotel in Tokyo, the views are mind blowing from here, Geisha spotting in Kyoto... In all honesty it is very hard to pin point one defining moment. It was all brilliant. (more)Alan Brownlow

Antarctic diving expedition
Interacting with the wildlife in Antarctica was the most memorable part of the holiday. (more)Robert Pecoraro
All of it was memorable, but if I had to pick it would be my first sight of Antarctica which was at sunrise, wow! And my 30 minute dive with a leopard seal. But it was all amazing. (more)Stacy Valentine
Most memorable was diving around the ice bergs and snorkelling with the leopard seal. Real WOW factor. (more)Judith Bewell

Holiday in Peru & Inca Trail
As each day passed it became my favourite day so far! The Inca Trail of course and the island home stay have to be my top two. The holiday was made all the more memorable because of the great group we were travelling with and of course our guide Dante. (more)Helen Leng
Sitting on top of WaynaPicchu looking at the cloud forest and mountains was the highlight. (more)Joanna Tupper
Walking the Inca Trail was the hardest thing I have ever done but the exhilaration and euphoria of the whole group as we walked through the Sun Gate is something money cannot buy and a memory that will last forever. (more)Christine Ingham

Atacama and Patagonia hiking holiday
Memorable parts? Trekking with the most amazing mountain backdrop for several days, in Torres del Paine, culminating in the climb up to Las Torres themselves; there just aren't the words to do this place justice. Tips? Do some walking beforehand, if you want to get the most from it. Also, don't forget a camera, or you will be truly sorry! Local benefits? Since we stayed, ate and drank locally, this should be a positive thing. Minimized environmental impacts is a bit tricky,... (more)Chris Senior
From £3785 excluding flights
Algonquin Park tours in Canada, canoeing & moose
Memorable parts? Gentle paddling during the day enjoying incredibly vast skies, calm blue water and forests of white pines. And lying back on sun-warmed rocks in the evening watching the Milky Way emerge and listening to the loons calling across the lakes. Learning how to track animals, brew pine needle tea, make rope out of bark, start a fire in the rain and read weather patterns. Tips? The camp sites are simply a natural clearing in the forest near the water, with some rocks for... (more)Jane Lucken

Patagonia overland tour, Villarica
Memorable parts? Seeing the Moreno glacier and hiking in Torres del Paine. Tips? Make sure you have appropriate footwear (hiking boots). There is no need to bring a sleeping bag as these can be hired at the time (and they are good sleeping bags). Local benefits? The only benefit to local people would be the custom of staying in hotels/eating in restaurants. We did make a conscious effort not to leave rubbish and I suppose 30+ people using 1 bus instead of various means of... (more)Frank Sperling

Mongolia adventure holiday, off the beaten track
Memorable parts? Travelling across vast plains in the Gobi, with no roads no buildings no artificial light, and stopping to listen to the silence. The immense blue sky. The generosity and kindness of Mongolians. Thunder and lightening echoing around the mountains while we watched from our tents. The unexpected - the tour leader was flexible and a number of times we took unscheduled opportunities to see wildlife, talk to local people, find out about the election that was going on while we... Belize wildlife conservation holiday
It was a very positive experience being in a country that treasures the natural environment and it is government policy to protect at least 40% of the land for nature. Once in a life time experience...meeting all the wild animals was the most exciting part of the trip. (more)Kerry Sedman

Luxury camping safari in Botswana
Memorable parts? The wildlife, the stunning location of our accommodation was truly memorable. Tips? Go to the bushcamps! Its fab. Local benefits? During our stay, we learnt a lot about the different local projects the provider of this holiday is involved with - we thought it was quite extensive. Environmentally, the solar-powered bushcamp was definitely the most ecological of the 3 camps we stayed at. Overall rating? A truly unique experience. Great service pre-booking.... Antarctica cruises
Memorable parts? Seeing the interplay between the animals, icebergs, glaciers, sea and sky. Tips? First: TAKE THE TRIP TO ANTARCTICA. It is unforgettable. If Miami is not on a direct route to Buenos Aires, fly there directly.Be sure to bring the right clothing. Being out on the water or a hill is COLD with the wrong clothes. Spend as much time on the bridge of the ship as possible. Go to all of the lectures. Meet new people Local benefits? No people to benefit in Antarctica. However,... (more)Stephen Kohn
