Wow! where would we start? Muba - a great and knowledgeable guide with a tremendous sense of humour, Jackson a terrific cook and again a great sense of humour. Stumbling upon elephants whilst walking to the viewpoint at the Serengeti park gates.

The trek in the Simien Mountains was truly memorable. It felt like we had the whole Mountain range, a world heritage site, to ourselves. (more)

It was a privilege to be involved in the wild dog rescue at Thanda Reserve when a poacher's snare was caught around her neck. Seeing the biggest tuskers when at Tembe was another highlight and identifying them was great fun. (more)Most memorable? Following the leopard going through the thick reeds of the dried riverbed... Being in Ethiopia for Timkat (at Axum) was an unforgettable experience. Discovering the extraordinary cultural history of Ethiopia with the help of experienced and delightful guides was stimulating and enriching. (more)
Kruger National Park was the most exciting - we saw absolutely everything there was to see - Rhino, Hippo, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Crocodiles, Hyenas, Baboons, Water Buffalo, Impala, Wart Hogs, Kudu, Springbok and Birds too numerous to mention. The organisation was flawless and the local guides were very professional and the people were very friendly...The Lemosoho route offers far more spectacular scenery than the other route I tried last year. The safari to Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti was the perfect relaxation after the arduous climb.

The kayaking with the seals and dolphins in Walvis Bay was particularly special, as the animals came to us in their own environment, rather than watching them from inside a car that they ignore. (more)

I enjoyed the day in Cairo. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Visiting the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids with the camel ride was unforgettable. Snorkelling in the diving in the Red Sea is magical!!! (more)

Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed!
